As part of a complete rebranding process, Condor Ferries wanted a novel way to communicate the safety announcement required by law at the start of every sailing.
Working with the team at The Walker Agency, Second Sense created the soundtrack for… The Safety Rap.
We composed and recorded the backing track, laid down the vocals, licensed Chic’s “Good Times” for the on-board version of the video, and the results have been nothing short of spectacular.
The online version of The Safety Rap clocked up over 100,000 views on YouTube within a very short time, and has enjoyed widespread media coverage, The Independent calling it “The best worst safety video you’re likely ever to see”! Condor’s passengers love it – the first play resulted in a rousing round of applause on board the new 102m Condor Liberation – and those safety messages are now hitting home like never before.
